The RMD Unit is designed to rectify the problems associated with excess humidity inside electrical enclosures.
The RMD Unit absorbs excess humidity and identifies when desiccant is fully spent, signifying the need for replacement. This is achieved by utilising a commonly used desiccant – colour changing, orange to clear silica gel.
The RMD Unit has no running costs, is non-flammable, non-toxic, easily retrofitted, easily maintained and is designed to be mounted onto the terminal rail inside electrical enclosures. The installation method permits the unit to be mounted in the optimum position where humidity is most present – at the top of an enclosure.
The product can also be installed alongside other humidity controlling devices to act as a visual aid, ensuring other devices are operating.
